What to Expect on Your Visit
Prospect Church was founded in the Gatchelville area before our current church building was built in 1868. The church building is beautiful and historic. The legacy of God's work at Prospect is special, and we are so blessed to be continuing on in His work in this time in history.
We are a non-denominational church functioning in a hybrid model of traditional and modern elements! We are operating in this model to reach all generations—young, old, and everyone in between. You really need to attend to get the full picture. We sing hymns and contemporary Christian worship music. We are a Bible-believing, Bible-preaching church, and expository teaching is the format of our sermons. We are Spirit-filled and led, so you never quite know what will happen in a service except that it will be orderly and also powerfully anointed by the presence of God. Our goal each Sunday is for you to encounter the Living God.
We have a down-home country feel and truly think of each other as family. We take disciple-making seriously and have many ministries to provide the foundation and formation of every believer in Jesus Christ. We are seeing a particularly amazing move of God currently, as our church is experiencing a bit of a revival and church revitalization. Church is so exciting—no one likes to miss a Sunday! We welcome you to come and visit us to see if our church may be the church God is leading you to!

Meet Our Pastor
Krystal Woods is a passionate worshiper of Jesus and Bible student with a teaching gift. She has been in ministry for 18 years, holding just about every role within the local church and her own parachurch ministry, Seasons in the Vine. She holds a Masters in Theological Studies with a cognate in Biblical Studies from Liberty University School of Divinity. She is also trained in Formational Prayer/Inner Healing through Healing Care Ministries. Krystal’s life mission is to PREACH-HEAL-DELIVER as described in Isaiah 61:1. Her heart beats for seeing the church take up its place as children of God who are about their Father’s work in bringing heaven to earth. She is committed to seeking abundant life found only in Jesus Christ and encouraging others to do the same.
